Geriatrics the branch of medicine or social science dealing with the health and care of our elderly.

A geriatric patient is an older person with impaired overall function.

 

There is no set age, but he or she is usually more than 75 years old with chronic illness(es), physical impairment and/or cognitive impairment. Older adults with frailty may also struggle with the following: Gait abnormalities and recurrent falls.

As we begin to mature, there are several opportunities to do so with ease of pain, illness and/or sickness. That's the importance of participating in viable Geriatric Trials which may include Alzheimer's, Dementia, Diabetes and other debilitating ailments.
